DeepGulf J-Flex Ultradeep Pipelay System Has Rapid 360 Foot Stroke

PENSACOLA, FL., July 3, 2007 – DeepGulf's J-Flex revolutionary design features a boxed-in tower. Most J-Lay towers are open on one side to enable the staging of new pipe into the system. Because the J-Flex tower is enclosed on all sides, it can be much lighter and thus much taller giving it a 360 foot stroke. For each weld to the pipeline, the J-Flex adds 360 feet of pipe making it the fastest J-Lay tower in the world.
